New for summer 2019 will be a raised decked area at the front of the house, where guests may enjoy beautiful lazy breakfasts in the mornings overlooking the beach, or simply languish with a book throughout the day, and enjoy the birdsong and bat displays in the evening.

The owners, Catherine & Steven, extend to you an invitation and warm welcome to Siop y Rhos

Siop y Rhos offers a home away from to home where you can rest, relax, and recharge your batteries.  The accommodation is warm and inviting, and set within spacious grounds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBand Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Reached down a private lane, enjoying uninterrupted vistas of the sea and the countryside, the property offers you privacy, peace and quiet and serenity, and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your lazy days. This home offers the most stunning location, away from the main road allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. It has lots of outside space, with the holiday let enjoying a large secure and private rear garden which benefits from the sun all day.

Lligwy Beach is a dog friendly beach and a short walk from the front of the property, and has beautiful sand dunes, rock pools, a river, extensive parking, public toilets, and a beach cafe/shop serving excellent organic home-made food, ice-cream and wonderful hot and cold drinks. In the busier periods, a large tepee is erected, and families are welcome to sit inside or outside, and take part in the numerous activities that take place during the day, and especially in the evening, when the place truly comes to life. Bands vie for the opportunity to play live music in the tepee, whilst families and couples can enjoy a choice of drinks from the bar, and even enjoy a dance or two.

Families are encouraged to bring their own blankets, and picnic sets, and spread out around the tepee and on the beach relaxing with friends under a beautiful starry sky with the music playing, and the family atmosphere wrapping itself around in comfort. Anyone could be forgiven for thinking they are in the Mediterranean. And the best thing of all is that you can easily walk down to the beach tepee from the house, but you CAN'T HEAR the live music on the beach from the house - WONDERFUL!

The accommodation sleeps up to 9 adults in beds, plus 1 child up to 5ft tall in a child's bed, and a little one in a travel cot (max age 18 months). Guests will enjoy an excellent night's sleep with the odd sound of waves falling on the shore, or the occasional hoot of an owl, and because of the lack of light pollution access to the stars at night are a star gazers delight. Evening walks are a must to enjoy the fabulous sunrises and magical sunsets - a magnet for photographers. You can relax not only during the day, but in the evenings too, taking comfort in the knowledge that there is no traffic noise, no rowdy people going home from the pub to disturb you, and no light pollution so you can appreciate the night sky.

Lots of holiday homes are set on a main road with lots of traffic noise, or hardly any garden and no sunshine throughout the day or evening, or may even have problems with parking spaces or require you to leave your car parked on the street, whilst listening to rowdy people walking past on their way home from the pub - Siop y Rhos OFFERS NONE OF THIS!

There are 3 private car parking spaces for the self catering accommodation, with additional parking if needed and storage available (small fee applicable) for boats, etc - check with the owner before booking.

The Anglesey Coastal Path passes nearby the house, and the beautiful Traeth Ora and Dulas Estuary are a short walk away, with Traeth Bychan and Benllech Bay being a short car ride away.

A short walk from Siop y Rhos farmhouse is Din Lligwy, a 4th Century AD settlement; Hen Capel, a 12th Century Chapel; and Lligwy Cromlech, a Neolithic burial chamber.

The Pilot Boat Pub with beer gardens and a children's fun bus is a short walk from the back garden of the house, as is Tyddyn Mon, a petting farm with lots of play equipment, sit and ride tractors, nature trail, etc., and a quaint little cafe where Mums & Dads can sit and watch their children play.

There are several pubs, restaurants, food stores, post offices, newsagents, chemists, amazing eat in or take out chip shop, cafes, etc., in Moelfre, Benllech and Amlwch, or you could get your food delivered before you arrive. Larger supermarkets are approximately 20 mins drive away and include: Sainsbury's, Morrison's, Asda, and Tesco.

Siop y Rhos provides a superb base to explore the beautiful Isle of Anglesey (most places can be reached within 30 mins), and yet the Snowdonia National Park is only 16 miles away (40 mins drive)

Visit the coastal town of Beaumaris with its historic Edward I Castle (a World Heritage Site), Court House and Gaol, or take a cruise around Puffin Island and see the seals. Visit Penrhyn Castle, Caernarfon Castle, Conwy Castle, Penmon Priory, and Plas Newydd Country House (National Trust), or simply choose one of the many circular walks along Anglesey's 125 miles of stunning coastline.

Siop y Rhos - not just a holiday home but a home you can holiday in.
